thickness
Aluminum foil can be divided into thick foil, single zero foil and double zero foil according to the thickness difference.
① Thick foil: foil with thickness of 0.1 ~ 0.2mm.
② Single zero foil: foil with thickness of 0.01mm and less than 0.1mm/.
③ Double zero foil: the so-called double zero foil is the foil with two zeros after the decimal point when its thickness is measured in mm. It is usually aluminum foil with thickness less than 0.01, that is, aluminum foil with thickness of 0.005 ~ 0.009mm. In English, thick foil is called "heavy"
Y gauge foil '', single zero foil is called "medium gauge foil", and double zero foil is called "light gauge foil". In foreign countries, aluminum foil with thickness ≤ 40ltm is sometimes called light gauge foil, while aluminum foil with thickness > 40btm is collectively called heavy gauge foil.
shape
Aluminum foil can be divided into roll aluminum foil and sheet aluminum foil according to shape. Most of the deep-processing raw materials of aluminum foil are supplied in roll shape, and sheet aluminum foil is only used in a few handicraft packaging occasions.
Aluminum foil can be divided into hard foil, semi-hard foil and soft foil.
① Hard foil: aluminum foil that has not been softened (annealed) after rolling. When it has not been degreased, there are residues on the surface. Therefore, hard foil must be degreased before printing, laminating and coating. If it is used for forming processing, it can be used directly.
② Semi hard foil: aluminum foil whose hardness (or strength) is between hard foil and soft foil. It is usually used for forming.
③ Soft foil: aluminum foil softened after full annealing after rolling. The material is soft and there is no residual oil on the surface. Soft foil is used in most application fields, such as packaging, composite, electrical materials, etc.
surface state
Aluminum foil can be divided into one side polished aluminum foil and two sides polished aluminum foil according to the surface state.
① Single side smooth aluminum foil: double rolled aluminum foil with bright one side and black one side after rolling. Such aluminum foil is called one side smooth aluminum foil. The thickness of one side smooth aluminum foil usually does not exceed 0.025mm.
② Double sided polished aluminum foil: single rolled aluminum foil, both sides of which are in contact with the roll. Due to the different surface roughness of the roll, both sides of the aluminum foil are divided into mirror faced polished aluminum foil and ordinary polished aluminum foil. The thickness of polished aluminum foil on both sides is generally not less than 0.01mm.

Aluminum foil can be divided into plain foil, embossed foil, composite foil, coated foil, colored aluminum foil and printed aluminum foil.
① Plain foil: aluminum foil without any other processing after rolling, also known as light foil.
② Embossed foil: aluminum foil with various patterns pressed on the surface.
③ Composite foil: composite aluminum foil formed by bonding aluminum foil with paper, plastic film and paperboard.
④ Coated foil: aluminum foil coated with various resins or paints.
⑤ Colored aluminum foil: aluminum foil coated with a single color on the surface. ⑥ printed aluminum foil: aluminum foil that forms various patterns, patterns, words or pictures on the surface by printing. It can be one color, up to 12 colors.
Soft aluminum foil can also be further pressed into 40 foil for high-grade decoration.
